Material & finish

This clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is cut from 3mm birch plywood, which is very sturdy and robust despite its low weight. The grey surface is sealed with two coats of water-based clear varnish. This makes it hard-wearing in everyday use. Wood is a natural material. Small differences in shade and grain as well as fine knots are normal and make each piece one of a kind. The grain may run horizontally or vertically. Why does the grain on my board run differently than I expected? We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste. So the grain may run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the size you ordered. A preferred direction is possible after a quick chat with us.
