The surface is sealed twice with a tough water-based clear lacquer. This keeps it smooth and resistant in daily use. Every clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is neatly finished and has rounded corners. Wood is a purely natural material. Small differences in shade and grain, and the occasional knot, are part of it. They make every piece one of a kind and are not a flaw.
