The surface is sealed twice with durable water-based clear lacquer. It is smooth, pleasant to hold and stands up to daily use. Every board is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade, small knots and irregularities in the grain are part of it. They make each piece unique and are not a flaw.
