The 3mm birch plywood is very sturdy and robust. It's thin enough to feel light in your hand. It's also firm enough not to give way as a writing board. Two coats of water-based clear varnish protect the surface in daily use. Every board is carefully finished in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board, so every piece is one of a kind. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply wipe the varnished surface with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way your clipboard keeps its colour and smooth surface for many years.
