The writing board is made from 3mm birch plywood. It is very sturdy and robust, yet pleasantly light in the hand. The walnut-coloured surface has two coats of tough, water-based clear varnish. It is smooth, neatly finished and stands up well to daily use. Wood is a natural material. Variations in shade, small knots and a lively grain are part of it and make every piece unique.
