Material & finish

The board is made from 3mm birch plywood. It's thin enough to feel light in your hand. At the same time it's very sturdy and robust, because the layers of wood in the plywood are glued crosswise. The surface is sealed with two coats of durable water-based clear lacquer. This makes it feel smooth, and your pen glides cleanly over the paper. Wood is a natural material. The grain may be lighter or darker, and small knots can occur. This makes every clipboard one of a kind – it isn't a flaw. Please note that the grain may run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the format you order. We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste. If you'd like a particular grain direction, just send us a short message – this is possible by arrangement.

Care & durability
