The surface has two coats of tough water-based clear lacquer. This keeps it smooth and gives signs of wear little to work with. Every board is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, with clean workmanship and rounded corners. Wood is a natural material. The grain may be lighter or darker, and small knots can occur. This makes every piece unique and is not a defect.
