The board is made from 3 mm birch plywood. It's thin enough to stay light. At the same time it's very stable and robust, because the wood layers are glued crosswise. The surface is smooth and sealed twice with water-based clear varnish. So it copes well with frequent use. Every clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It's carefully finished, right down to the rounded corners. Wood is a purely natural material. So every board shows its own grain with slight colour variations or small knots. That's not a flaw – it's what makes each piece one of a kind.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood consists of several thin layers of wood glued together crosswise. This means it warps much less than a single solid wood board of the same thickness. Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the clear varnish, simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed and let it dry. It's best to avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. That way the mint green surface stays looking good for a long time.

Which way does the grain run? The grain can run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the format you order. We optimise our cutouts to avoid waste. A preferred direction is possible by arrangement. Just send us a short message.

How do I clean the surface? Simply wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and let it dry. The double clear varnish protects the wood.

Which clip suits me? You can choose between a spring clip and a wire clip. Some versions are optionally available with a pen holder. Both hold your papers securely.
