Material & finish

The clipboard is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. The 3 mm birch plywood is slim, yet very stable and sturdy. It copes with being carried in your bag just as well as with daily use at work. The surface is sealed twice with a tough water-based clear varnish. This keeps it smooth and hard-wearing in use. Wood is a purely natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from board to board. That is exactly what makes each piece one of a kind. How to use the clipboard

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of veneer glued crosswise. That makes the board much more resistant to twisting than a solid wood board of the same thickness. For you, this means your clipboard is only 3 mm thick and light enough to take anywhere. Yet it is still firm enough to write on neatly.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Thanks to the clear varnish, a slightly damp cloth is enough to wipe the surface. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. That way, the board keeps its smooth surface and bold colour for many years.

Can the thin wood stand up to daily use? Yes. The 3 mm birch plywood is very stable and sturdily made. It is designed as a firm writing board for everyday use in the office, in hospitality and at home.

Which clip is right for me? You choose between a metal spring clip and a wire clip. Some versions are available with an optional pen holder, so your pen is always to hand.

Can I choose the direction of the wood grain? As standard, the grain runs horizontally or vertically, because we optimise our cutouts to avoid waste. By arrangement, we're happy to align the grain the way you'd like. Just send us a quick message.
