Material & finish

The clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck from 3 mm birch plywood. It is very sturdy and robust, yet pleasantly light in your hand. The scarlet red surface is sealed with a durable water-based clear varnish. The corners are rounded and neatly finished. Wood is a natural material. Small knots and differences in the grain can occur. This makes every board unique and is not a defect. The grain can run horizontally or vertically. Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of veneer glued crosswise. This makes it dimensionally stable. It warps much less than a single solid wood board of the same thickness. That's why a thickness of 3 mm is enough for the clipboard. It stays light to carry and still gives you a firm, flat writing surface.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the clear varnish, simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way the scarlet red surface keeps its bold colour for a long time.
