The clipboard is made from 3 mm birch plywood in our own production in Pößneck. It is very sturdy and robust, yet pleasantly light to carry. The surface is sealed with a hard-wearing water-based clear varnish. This keeps the warm Toscana shade fresh for a long time, and your pen glides smoothly over the paper. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board. That is what makes each piece one of a kind. Good to know about the clipboard

Birch plywood consists of several layers of wood glued crosswise. This makes it surprisingly rigid for its thickness. So the writing board, only 3 mm thin, keeps its shape even with daily use. It works just as well in the office as in rough everyday use on a building site or at the market.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the clear varnish, simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. That way the wood keeps its smooth surface and the warm Toscana shade for a long time.

Can I hang the clipboard on the wall? Yes. There is a hanging eyelet at the top left and top right. So you can hang the board straight on the wall without an extra bracket.

Why does the grain on my board run horizontally, but vertically on another? We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste. That's why the grain direction can vary. A preferred direction is possible after a quick chat – just send us a message.

Does every clipboard look the same? Not quite. Wood is a natural material with varying brightness, fine textures and the occasional small knot. This is not a flaw. It makes your board one of a kind.

Is the surface suitable for writing? Yes. The birch plywood is sealed with a hard-wearing water-based clear varnish. The smooth, sturdy surface works well as a writing board, even when standing.
