Material & finish

The clipboard is made from 3mm birch plywood in our own production in Pößneck. It is sturdy, resists warping and is cleanly finished, so no edge gets in the way. Two coats of water-based clear varnish protect the surface. They also stop your pen from sinking in as you write. Wood is a natural material. Shade and grain vary, and small knots may appear. This makes every board one of a kind. The grain may run horizontally or vertically. If you send us a short message, we're happy to agree the direction with you.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the clear varnish, simply wipe the board with a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid long contact with water and harsh cleaners. This keeps the surface smooth and the colour fresh for a long time.

Can I write on the board without anything underneath? Yes. The smooth, clear-varnished surface works as a firm writing board – even on the go, standing up or at a market stall.

Why does the grain on my board run differently from the picture? We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste. So the grain may run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the size you order. A preferred direction is possible if you get in touch with us briefly.

Is every clipboard the same? No – wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary, making every piece one of a kind.

Which clip suits me? The metal spring clip grips firmly and holds thicker stacks too. The wire clip looks slimmer. Some versions are available with an optional pen holder, so your pen is always to hand.
