The board is made from 3mm birch plywood. Despite its slim build, it is very sturdy and robust. It doesn't bend when you write and stands up to daily use for a long time. The surface is sealed twice with a hard-wearing water-based clear varnish. This makes it feel smooth and stand up well to everyday use. The rounded corners sit comfortably in your hand. Birch is a purely natural material. Variations in shade, small knots and a lively grain are part of it. That is exactly what gives the board its rustic character and makes every clipboard one of a kind. Every board is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Plywood is made by gluing several thin layers of wood together with the grain running crosswise – the layers hold each other in check.
