The dark blue surface is sealed with two coats of durable water-based clear varnish. This keeps it smooth and hard-wearing in daily use. Every clipboard is made in our own Bütic production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is finished cleanly. Wood is a purely natural material. So every board shows its own grain, with small differences in shade and texture. This is not a flaw. It is what makes each piece one of a kind.
