Two coats of water-based clear lacquer protect the dark red surface in daily use. Each board is made and carefully finished in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a purely natural material. Small differences in shade and grain as well as fine knots are part of it. They make each piece unique – they are not a flaw.
