Material & finish

The clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck, Bütic, from 3 mm birch plywood. It is very stable and robust, yet pleasantly light to hold. The surface has two coats of hard-wearing water-based clear lacquer. Your pen glides smoothly over the paper, and the surface stays looking good for a long time. The rounded corners and clean finish mean nothing catches or scratches. Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from board to board. That makes each piece one of a kind – it's not a flaw.

How to use the clipboard

Good to know about the clipboard

Birch plywood is made of several veneer layers glued crosswise. That's why the board is so rigid and stays flat, even though it's only 3 mm thick. For you, this means a light but firm writing board you can easily carry around all day.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Thanks to the clear lacquer, a dry or slightly damp cloth is enough to wipe it clean. Avoid prolonged moisture. That way the wood keeps its friendly, natural look for a long time.

Can I choose the direction of the grain? The grain may run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the format you order. We optimise our cutouts to avoid waste. A preferred direction is possible by arrangement. Just send us a short message.

Does every clipboard look the same? No – wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary slightly, so every board is one of a kind.

Which clip is right for me? You can choose between a metal spring clip and a wire clip in eight colours. Some versions come with an optional pen holder, so your pen is always to hand.
