Material & finish

The clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck from 3 mm birch plywood. This makes it very sturdy and robust while staying light. The surface is sealed with two coats of durable water-based clear varnish. The corners are rounded and the finish is clean. Wood is a natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board. This makes every piece one of a kind – it is not a flaw. The grain can also run horizontally or vertically, regardless of the size you order. If you’d like a particular direction, just send us a short message.

Good to know about the clipboard

Plywood is made of several layers of veneer glued crosswise. This makes it much more dimensionally stable than solid wood of the same thickness. That’s why 3 mm of birch plywood is enough for a writing board that hardly warps. It still feels pleasantly light in your hand.

Care & durability

There isn’t much you need to do. Thanks to the clear varnish, a slightly damp cloth is all you need to wipe it clean. Avoid prolonged moisture and harsh cleaning products. That way the colour and surface will look good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I hang up the clipboard? Yes. There’s a hanging eyelet at the top left and one at the top right. You can hang the board on a hook, nail or string on the wall.

Which clip is right for me? You choose between a metal spring clip and a wire clip, in eight colours. Some versions are available with an optional pen holder, so your pen stays with the board.

Does every board look the same? No. Wood is a natural material. Brightness and grain vary slightly, and small knots are normal. This makes every clipboard one of a kind.

Can I choose the direction of the grain? Due to the production process, the grain runs horizontally or vertically. A particular direction is possible by arrangement – just send us a short message.

How do I care for the surface? Simply wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture and harsh cleaning products.
