Material & finish

The board is made from 3 mm birch plywood. It's thin enough to feel light in your hand. At the same time, it's very sturdy and robust in daily use. The surface has two coats of tough water-based clear lacquer. This makes it pleasantly smooth to the touch. It also stands up well to frequent handling. The rounded corners and clean finish mean nothing catches or scratches. Wood is a natural material. Grain, shade and small knots can vary. That makes every piece one of a kind. By the way, the clipboard is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Good to know about birch plywood

Plywood is made of several layers of veneer glued crosswise. That's why it keeps its shape remarkably well, even when thin. It hardly warps. This is exactly why 3 mm birch plywood works so well as a writing board. It's firm enough for neat writing while standing. And it's light enough to hold all day.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. When needed, simply wipe the clipboard with a dry or slightly damp cloth. The clear lacquer protects the surface in everyday use. Avoid constant moisture and harsh cleaners. Then the wood will stay smooth and well kept for a long time.
