The surface in dark walnut is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear varnish. The corners are rounded and the finish is clean. Every board is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots vary from board to board. This is not a flaw. It is what makes each piece one of a kind.
