Material & finish
The writing board is made from 3 mm birch plywood. This makes it very stable and robust despite its slim build. The surface is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear lacquer. It stays smooth and copes well with everyday use. Wood is a purely natural material. Slight differences in shade and grain as well as small knots are normal and make every board unique. The grain may run horizontally or vertically, as we plan our cutouts to keep waste to a minimum. If you like, we're happy to align it by arrangement – just send us a short message.

Why does the grain sometimes run lengthways and sometimes across? We optimise our cutouts to avoid unnecessary waste, so the grain direction can vary. If you like, we'll align it by arrangement – a short message is all it takes.
Is there a clip with a pen holder? Yes, some clip versions are available with an optional pen holder. That way your pen is always within reach.
How durable is the surface? The board is sealed twice with a durable water-based clear lacquer. This makes it smooth, hard-wearing and easy to wipe clean.
