- Your decoration works for anything from place cards to shop windows. You can choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.

- You decorate with a clear conscience – the cardboard is made from 100% recycled material.
Why this cardboard compass makes a difference
Nautical decorations rely on clear, recognisable motifs. Hardly any tells as much of a story as the compass rose. Instead of fiddling with a template and a craft knife, you hold a finished motif in your hands. You just decorate it to your taste. That way, a vague idea for your wall, table or shop window becomes a well-planned whole that looks like the sea and faraway places.
Material & finish
The 1.2 mm solid board in bookbinding quality feels nice and firm in your hand. It stays stable even in larger sizes. The smooth surface takes paint and glue evenly. The brown laser-cut edges give the motif a calm, natural border. Because the board is untreated, acrylic paint, varnish and paper stick reliably. You can start straight away without any preparation. Every cutout is neatly made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard compass
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own small compass. They take home a keepsake they made themselves from the pirate party.
- For a nautical wedding or engagement: use small compasses as place cards or table scatter. The theme "setting a course together" runs through the whole celebration.
- On the wall in the hallway or children's room: a large compass in 40 or 50 cm, painted in your chosen colours. Suddenly the empty wall tells of travel and adventure.
- In the shop window or shop: combine several sizes for a nautical seasonal display. It's quick to set up and gets noticed without much effort.
- For Valentine's Day, birthdays or parties: a compass with lettering as a gift tag or photo prop. A small gesture that people remember.
Good to know about the compass rose
The compass rose has decorated sailors' sea charts since the Middle Ages. To this day it shows the cardinal points on every compass. It stands for orientation, new beginnings and wanderlust. So it suits nautical decorations as well as occasions that mark a new chapter in life, such as weddings, engagements or farewell parties.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the cutout dry and flat, and it will keep its shape for a long time. Avoid constant moisture. Untreated cardboard is meant for sheltered indoor use. A coat of paint or varnish makes the surface more resistant.
