Your child's birthday party is coming up, and the theme is clear: emergency services. Do you want to make an ambulance that is sturdier than thin card? Then this cardboard ambulance is made for your craft table. It is a sturdy cutout made of firm bookbinding board. You can paint it, stick things on it and decorate it to suit your occasion. That way, your idea quickly becomes a decoration that really looks the part.

What changes for you

  • You can start crafting straight away instead of cutting out templates first. The ambulance arrives laser-cut and neatly finished.
  • Your decoration keeps its shape and colour, even when little hands join in. That is thanks to the firm 1.2 mm solid board with 755 g/m².
  • You can design it just the way you like. The untreated, smooth surface takes paint, varnish and glue well.
  • You get exactly the size you need. Choose a width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can craft with a clear conscience – the board is made from 100 % recycled material.

Why this cardboard ambulance makes a difference

At the birthday table, in a nursery project or as a small thank-you for someone in the emergency services: a motif you have designed yourself says more than off-the-shelf decorations. You decide on the colours, details and size. The result is an ambulance that fits your occasion exactly. If you want to make an ambulance from card, this gives you a much sturdier base. It still looks good after the party.

Material & finish

The firm solid board in bookbinding quality feels pleasantly sturdy in your hand. It does not warp as easily as thin craft card while you work on it. The surface is smooth. The edges are brown from the laser cutting, which is typical of laser-cut board. As the board is untreated, you can stick things on it, paint it or varnish it, just as you like. Every cutout is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard ambulance

  • At a children's party with an emergency services theme: every child paints their own little ambulance. At the end, they take home a keepsake they made themselves.
  • In a nursery project about jobs and emergency calls: the children decorate ambulances for their play world. Along the way, they learn who helps in an emergency.
  • As a thank-you or small gift for someone in the emergency services: a lovingly painted motif says more than a card.
  • As decoration for a party, celebration or birthday: combine ambulances in different sizes. Together they turn a table or windowsill into a small fleet of vehicles.
  • In a shop window or on the shop counter: a large cutout up to 50 cm wide puts a theme on clear display. It is quick to set up and you can decorate it any way you like.

Good to know about the ambulance

In German, an ambulance is often colloquially called a “Sanka”. It is short for Sanitätskraftwagen. Children love the ambulance as a motif. Flashing blue lights and rescues fascinate them and make them feel safe. That is why this cutout works so well for nursery projects, themed birthdays and anything to do with helping others.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the cutout in a dry place and protect the untreated board from lasting moisture. It will then keep its shape, and your decoration will look good for a long time. A dry cloth is all you need for dusting.
