The Advent wreath is up and the candles are ready. But your windowsill, gifts and cards still need a matching star. A copper-coloured wooden star with 8 points brings exactly that warm glow. It doesn't feel overdone. Use it on its own on the windowsill or as a set for Christmas crafts with children. This wooden star works all through Advent.

What changes for you

  • Your decorations look festive and warm straight away. Depending on the light, the grain and knots even shimmer through the copper-coloured glaze.
  • You can craft with these stars together with children. The glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • You'll find the right size for every project. Choose from small scatter stars for Christmas cards to a large window star. Sizes range from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can glue, sew and arrange the stars without any finishing work. The star is laser-cut. It has precise, smooth edges with the typical brown rim.
  • You can design the natural back yourself. Paint it, write on it or simply leave it as it is.

Why this 8-point star makes a difference in everyday life

Copper and wood make a calm combination. They are warm, natural and not as loud as glitter decorations. Place a few of these stars on the dinner table, on gift ribbon or in the window. The room feels calmer and more Christmassy, and you don't have to decorate much. Every star is cut the same way. So even a larger number of stars looks like one matching set.

Material & finish

Every star is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. This gives smooth edges and a precise shape, point by point. The front has a copper-coloured glaze. The back stays natural and untreated. Wood is a purely natural material. It varies in shade, shows more or less grain and can have small knots. That makes every piece unique – not a flaw, but character.

How to use your wooden star

  • For Christmas decoration crafts: stick small stars onto gifts and tags. Even simply wrapped parcels under the tree get a warm copper shine.
  • For crafts with children: let them paint or write on the natural back. In the end, every child holds their own star.
  • For Christmas cards and money gifts: glue a small star onto a card or envelope. A simple greeting card becomes a small gift.
  • For the Advent calendar: write numbers on 24 stars and attach them to little bags or a string. Your countdown to Christmas Eve is decorated and ready.
  • In a café, bakery or at a market stall: attach stars to the counter, shop window or price tags. With a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can decorate your whole sales area in one style with little effort.

Good to know about the 8-point star

The eight-pointed star has a long history in Christian tradition. The Star of Bethlehem has often been shown with eight rays for centuries. That is why this shape has been used during Advent and Christmas for centuries – from nativity decorations to window decorations.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth and store the stars in a dry place. Only the front is glazed and the back is untreated. So avoid constant moisture. This way the stars keep their copper shine for many Christmas seasons.

Frequently asked questions

Is the star copper-coloured on both sides? No, only the front is glazed. The back is natural and untreated – ideal if you want to paint or write on it yourself.

Is the stain safe, even for crafting with children? Yes, the stain meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.

Why does the star have a brown rim? The star is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown rim along the edges. In return, the edges are smooth and the shape is precise.

Do all stars look exactly the same? The shape does, the surface not quite. Wood is a natural material with varying shades, grain and small knots. Depending on the light, the texture shimmers through the glaze. Every piece is unique.

How big is the star really? The height you choose is measured from point to point. At a height of 10 cm, the star is also 10 cm wide.

A wooden cutout is just the starting point. What counts is the moment when your window glows copper in the candlelight. That's when Christmas has arrived in your home. Simply choose your size and quantity – you design the rest.
