Each butterfly is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This creates the typical brown edge, which gives the shape a clear outline. The front has a copper glaze. Depending on the light, the grain and small knots show through it. The back is left untreated. Wood is a purely natural material. Shade, texture and small knots vary from piece to piece. So every butterfly is unique. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
