The first warm days are coming, and your window could do with a little spring. This lavender wooden dragonfly is made for exactly that. Hang it in the window, scatter it on the coffee table as table scatter or stick it onto a card. Straight away, everything feels a little lighter and friendlier. Every dragonfly is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

What changes for you

  • The flat dragonfly brightens up your window, wreath or coffee table quickly and easily. That's because you can simply hang it up or stick it on.
  • You can craft with peace of mind, even with children. The lavender glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • You'll find the right size for every project, from a small card embellishment to a large wall decoration. Wingspans range from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can use the dragonfly straight away or design it your own way. The untreated back can be painted and decorated.
  • No cutting or sanding needed. The laser-cut edges are smooth and accurate, so you can get started right away.

Why this wooden dragonfly makes a difference every day

Decoration doesn't have to be elaborate to make a difference. A single dragonfly in the window makes a room feel lighter. A few small ones as table scatter turn a simple coffee table into a lovingly laid one. Because the motif is made of real wood, it looks calm and natural. That's quite different from shiny plastic decorations.

Material & finish

The dragonfly is made of 3 mm poplar plywood and is laser-cut. That's why it has the typical, lightly browned edge that gives each motif its outline. The front has a lavender glaze. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through. That makes every piece one of a kind. The back is left natural and untreated, so you can paint it or stick things on as you like. Wood is a natural material. Variations in shade, texture and small knots are part of it and are not a defect.

How to use the dragonfly

  • As spring window decoration: hang up a few dragonflies in different sizes, and the season visibly arrives in your home.
  • On a wreath for the front door or wall: stick on a dragonfly, and the wreath gets a delicate dab of lavender.
  • As table scatter on the coffee table: spread between plates and napkins, they give your guests something to discover before the first slice of cake.
  • For crafting with children: the back is untreated and just right for painting. Each child can design their own dragonfly.
  • For cards and gifts: stick on the small sizes to make a plain greetings card or a gift of money more personal, for example for Mother's Day.
  • In a café, bakery or at a market stall: as seasonal counter and shop window decoration, it's quick to put up and quick to change. Your spring display is ready.

Good to know about the dragonfly

The dragonfly has long been seen as a messenger of spring and summer. In many cultures it stands for lightness and change. In Japan it is even a symbol of good luck. So the motif suits not only seasonal decoration but also greetings cards and gifts for new beginnings of all kinds.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: simply dust it dry when needed. As the back is natural and untreated, it's best to store the dragonfly in a dry place and avoid constant moisture. That way the lavender surface stays looking good for a long time.
