You're preparing an RE lesson, setting up a small altar or looking for a special motif to craft and paint. For that you need a shape you won't find like this in a craft shop. This MDF cutout with the all-seeing eye of Caodaism is made for exactly that. It is cleanly laser-cut, untreated and available in the exact size you need. So you start your project with a blank that already has everything you need.

What changes for you

  • You get exactly the size your project needs. You choose the width freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can start painting, gluing or oiling straight away. The MDF/HDF is untreated and takes paint and glue well.
  • Your motif looks neat from the start. The laser-cut edges are smooth, with the typical brown rim, and need no finishing.
  • You can supply larger groups or congregations without ordering several times. Choose a single piece or a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • You know where your cutout comes from. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Why this MDF cutout makes a difference in everyday life

A ready-cut motif takes the most laborious part of the work off your hands: neatly sawing out a symbolic shape. You focus on the fun part – designing, painting, hanging up. And you still get a result that looks as if it took a lot of patient handwork. On the wall, on the altar or as teaching material: the eye in the triangle looks calm and clear and is instantly recognisable.

Material & finish

The cutout is made of 3 mm MDF or HDF, a high-density fibreboard. It is dimensionally stable, flat and pleasantly light. Laser cutting gives smooth edges and precise details. The characteristic brown rim forms naturally in the process and frames the motif finely. As the surface is untreated, you can paint it, glue things onto it, oil it or leave it natural. Being a natural material, the fibres show lighter and darker structures and may have small irregularities. This makes every piece one of a kind and is not a defect.

How to use the all-seeing eye

  • For a prayer room or home altar: paint the motif in the traditional colours. It becomes a dignified centrepiece that is clearly visible.
  • In RE lessons: every child gets their own cutout to design. The abstract topic of world religions suddenly becomes tangible.
  • Crafting at home: combine the eye with paints, decoupage or gold leaf. You get a wall decoration that nobody else has.
  • For clubs and congregations: with sets of 10 or more, you can equip events, celebrations or information stands in a uniform way. No individual orders, no waiting.
  • In model making: at just 3 mm thick, the motif fits easily into dioramas or scenery. You can cut, glue and varnish it.

Good to know about the all-seeing eye of Caodaism

Caodaism emerged in Vietnam in 1926. The left eye in a triangle is its central symbol. It stands for the eye of God, who sees everything. It is present everywhere in Caodaist temples. That is why this cutout is particularly suited to altar design, congregation work and teaching material on religious topics.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated cutout in a dry place and keep it away from lasting moisture. This keeps the board flat and stable. If you'd like to protect the surface, simply paint or oil it.

Options & what's included

  • Choose any width: 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps
  • Available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces
  • Delivered untreated in natural form – without paint, hanger or decoration

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the cutout or glue things onto it? Yes. The MDF/HDF is untreated and can be painted, oiled, glued or decorated in other ways.

Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? It forms during laser cutting and is typical of this process. The edges are smooth and don't need sanding.

How tall is the motif at a given width? For reference: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 8.5 cm. Other sizes follow the same proportions.

Why do the boards look different? HDF is made of pressed wood fibres, a natural material. The fibres vary in shade and may show small irregularities. This makes every piece one of a kind.

Is the cutout suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it belongs in dry indoor spaces. For sheltered outdoor areas, you should treat the surface with paint or oil first.

What matters is less the fibreboard in the shape of an eye. It's the moment your self-designed symbol hangs on the wall or sits on the altar. And it expresses exactly what is important to you. Simply choose your size and quantity, and our own production takes care of the rest.
