A diamond made of HDF gives you a blank that's just waiting to be painted, decorated and covered with stickers. It's made for your next crafting afternoon. Why this MDF diamond makes a difference in everyday life
Decorations you make yourself feel different from shop-bought ones. They tell the story of the afternoon they were made. With the brilliant-cut motif, you bring a bit of sparkle to your wall, window or gift tag. And in exactly your colours. Making Christmas decorations with children or a Mother's Day gift? The blank gives you the shape. You decide the rest.
Material & finish
The diamond is laser-cut from 3 mm MDF or HDF. These are high-density fibreboards made from pressed wood fibres. They keep their shape and feel pleasantly smooth. The laser cut gives clean, smooth edges. It also leaves the typical brown rim, which gives the shape a fine outline. The material is left natural, not varnished or glazed. That's why paints, glues and oils stick well. As a natural material, the wood fibres show lighter and darker patterns and may have small imperfections. This makes each piece one of a kind, not faulty.

How to use the diamond
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own gemstone. In the end, a colourful garland hangs in the children's room. Everyone is proud of it.
- Making a Mother's Day or Father's Day gift: Attach a diamond with a message to the gift as a tag. The personal message stays on as a small keepsake.
- At Christmas: Paint several shapes in gold and white, thread them and hang them in the window. That's your Christmas decoration, just the way you like it.
- As a door sign or mobile: Write a name on the blank and hang it on the nursery door or above the changing table.
- For model making and all kinds of decorations: The smooth laser edges fit neatly into your projects. No sanding needed.
- For business use in a shop, café or at the weekly market: Paint the brilliant-cut motif as a price tag or seasonal counter decoration. In sets of 10 to 100, it gives you a consistent look. It's quick to prepare and can be reused as often as you like.
Good to know about the diamond
The diamond has long stood for permanence and appreciation. It's no coincidence that a 60th wedding anniversary is called a diamond anniversary. That's why the brilliant-cut motif suits occasions when you want to show someone how much they mean to you. Think weddings, anniversaries, Mother's Day or a lovingly made gift tag.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Simply store the untreated cutout somewhere dry and protect it from constant moisture. That way the surface stays flat. It will still take paint, varnish or oil neatly later on.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the diamond straight away? Yes. The MDF/HDF is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint, glue, brush or oil it directly.
Why does the cutout have a brown rim? The diamond is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown rim along the edges. The process also gives you smooth, clean cut edges.
Do all cutouts look exactly the same? The shape is identical, but the material varies. HDF is made from pressed wood fibres. These can differ in shade and may show small imperfections. This makes each piece one of a kind.
How do width and height relate to each other? As a reference: for a chosen width of 10 cm, the height is approx. 8 cm.
A 3 mm wooden cutout is only the starting point. What counts is the moment the hand-painted garland goes up. Everyone at the table knows: we made that. Just choose your size and quantity. Then your next crafting afternoon can begin.
