The angel is laser-cut from 3 mm HDF/MDF fibreboard. It is made in our own production in Pößneck. Laser cutting gives smooth, clean edges. They feel nice in your hand, and the piece is ready to decorate without any finishing. The board is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. This means paint and glue adhere well. Good to know: wood fibres vary in shade and can show small irregularities. This is typical of the material and makes every piece unique. It is not a defect. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays stable even when thin.
