The table for the garden party is set. Only a summery motif is still missing. That's where the HDF flamingo wooden cutout comes in. Use it as a small table scatter piece between the plates or as a large wall motif above the buffet. The wading bird with its typical curved neck brings a summer mood to the room straight away. It comes untreated, so it's ready for your own ideas. You can paint it, stick things on it or decorate it.

What changes for you

  • You can design the flamingo just the way you like. The HDF comes in its natural finish. You can paint it, stick things on it or apply a glaze.
  • You can start crafting straight away, with children too. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so there's no sanding needed.
  • Your decoration always suits the occasion and the space. You choose the height freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • Planning larger projects is easy. The flamingo is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • You get consistent quality every time. Each cutout is cleanly laser-cut and carefully finished.

Why this flamingo cutout makes a difference in everyday life

Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A blank, on the other hand, becomes your own piece. In your colours and your own style, to suit a summer party, a children's room or a shop window. A crafting afternoon turns into something that really belongs to you. And when you craft with children, it also becomes a shared moment at the kitchen table.

Material & finish

The flamingo is made of 3 mm thick HDF/MDF fibreboard. It's sturdy enough to hang up, glue and decorate. Yet it feels light in your hand. Laser cutting gives smooth edges and a clean outline, right into the curved neck. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glue and pens stick well. As pressed wood fibre, each board shows fibres in lighter and darker shades and small irregularities. This isn't a flaw. It makes every piece one of a kind. Bütic makes the cutout in its own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, just more densely compressed. That makes it harder. It stays sturdy even when thin.

How to use the MDF flamingo

  • At a summer party: Scatter small flamingos across the table. The table looks lovingly decorated before your guests even sit down.
  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own flamingo. At the end, a little work of art hangs in the children's room.
  • As a wall motif: Hang a large flamingo, 40 or 50 cm tall, above the chest of drawers. The room instantly has a summery animal motif on the wall.
  • In model making: The flat cutout fits into dioramas and landscapes. Its clean outline looks good even up close.
  • In a café, ice cream parlour or market stall: Painted flamingos in the shop window or on the counter are quick to put up. With set sizes from 10 to 100, they are also good value for larger areas.

Good to know about the flamingo

By the way, flamingos get their pink feathers from pigments in their food. Newly hatched birds are grey. With the untreated MDF blank, you choose the colour yourself. From soft pink for christening decorations to bright pink for the summer party.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. Simply dust it dry when needed. As the fibreboard is untreated, it doesn't like constant moisture. Store it dry or paint it as you wish, and the flamingo will stay looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint the flamingo or stick things on it? Yes. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can apply paints, pens and glue directly.

How wide is the flamingo at my chosen height? The width grows in proportion to the height. At a height of 10 cm, the width is 7 cm.

Do I need to sand the edges? No. The cutout is laser-cut and has smooth edges. You can start decorating straight away.

Why do the boards look different? HDF is made of pressed wood fibres. These can vary in lightness and show small irregularities. This is exactly what makes every piece one of a kind.

In one afternoon, a plain blank becomes your very own flamingo. Afterwards, it brings summer into your home. Just choose your height and quantity and get started.
