Material & finish

The cutout is made of 3 mm thick HDF. It is laser cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. This gives clean, smooth edges and consistent quality. The surface is left natural. It is not varnished and not glazed, so paint and glue stick well. As a wood-based material, HDF is not always the same shade and can show small differences in texture. This makes every piece one of a kind and is not a defect. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder and keeps it stable even when thin.
