Material & finish

The hemp leaf is made from 3 mm HDF. This is a compressed wood fibre board with an even, fine surface that is easy to paint and decorate. Laser cutting gives smooth edges and a clean finish, right down to the fine leaf tips. Wood is a natural material. The shade is not always equally light and the texture may show small irregularities. This makes every piece unique. Every cutout is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. HDF is a wood fibre board like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays sturdy even when thin.
