The Easter brunch invitations are out and the table is set. Yet something small is still missing between the plates and napkins. That is exactly what this MDF wooden bunny in a chocolate bunny shape is for. It is a clear silhouette in untreated wood. You can scatter it on the table, paint it or decorate it with children. A few simple cutouts become Easter decorations that look like you – not like a department store.

What changes for you

  • Your Easter table gets a consistent motif in just a few steps. Simply scatter small bunnies from 3 cm as table scatter and table decorations.
  • You can design each bunny exactly the way you like. The untreated HDF can be covered, painted, oiled or decorated by hand.
  • You have a relaxed craft project for an afternoon with children. The smooth laser-cut edges feel comfortable in the hand and need no sanding.
  • You find the right size for every spot. Choose from a 3 cm bunny for the breakfast table up to a 50 cm cutout for the shop window, in 1 cm steps.
  • You can cover larger projects in one go. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.

Why this wooden bunny makes a difference in everyday life

Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. A bunny you have decorated yourself tells the story of the afternoon it was made. The simple chocolate bunny silhouette looks calm and tidy. That holds whether it lies on the table in natural wood or hangs brightly painted on the Easter tree. So the bunny fits into your home instead of following a trend.

Material & finish

Every bunny is laser-cut from 3 mm thick HDF in Bütic's own production in Pößneck. This gives clean, smooth edges with the typical brown laser edge. It is a distinctive feature that gives the shape a clear outline. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues and oils stick to it particularly well. HDF is made from pressed wood fibres, a purely natural material. That is why the fibres can vary in shade and show small irregularities. This makes every piece one of a kind and is not a defect. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays stable even when thin.

How to use the chocolate bunny

  • At Easter brunch: Put a small bunny at each place as table scatter. Your guests will have something to smile about before the first egg.
  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own bunny. At the end they proudly take home an Easter piece they made themselves.
  • As a gift tag: Tie a mini bunny with a written name to an Easter present. The parcel instantly looks lovingly made rather than quickly wrapped.
  • In a café or bakery: Place large cutouts up to 50 cm in the shop window or at the entrance. Your seasonal decorations are up in minutes. After Easter they store away without taking up much space.
  • For nurseries, schools or club bazaars: With sets from 10 pieces, every group gets identical blanks. And you save yourself cutting them out by hand.

Facts about the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny as the bringer of eggs has been documented in writing since the 17th century. This makes it one of the oldest living Easter customs in the German-speaking world. The chocolate bunny silhouette builds on exactly this tradition. That is why it works as a motif on the Easter table just as well as in shop window displays around the holiday.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the bunnies somewhere dry, and you can bring them out again year after year. As the HDF is untreated, you should avoid constant moisture. If you want to display the bunnies outdoors, a coat of paint or a glaze will protect the surface.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the bunny? Yes. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint it, colour it, stick things on it or oil it.

Why is the edge brown? The bunnies are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge with smooth sides. It is part of the cutting process and gives the silhouette its outline.

How wide is the bunny at the height I choose? As a reference: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 6.5 cm. The proportions stay the same for all sizes.

Do all the bunnies look exactly the same? The shape does, the surface not quite. HDF is made from pressed wood fibres, which can vary in shade and show small irregularities. As it is a natural material, every piece is one of a kind.

Is the bunny suitable for outdoors? Untreated, it is intended for indoor use. With an opaque coat of paint or a glaze, you can also use it outdoors in a sheltered spot. Avoid constant moisture.

Picture the moment when the family sits at the Easter table. Someone asks where the lovely bunnies are from. And you can say: I made them myself. Simply choose your height and quantity.
