Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Christmas is a few weeks away. The craft table is set, and the paints and brushes are ready. Now all you need is the motif. This HDF gingerbread woman is made for your craft afternoon. She is an untreated blank figure. You can paint her, stick things on or decorate her just as you like. That way, a simple fibreboard figure becomes your own Christmas decoration.
What changes for you
- You can start painting and decorating straight away. The HDF is untreated, so paint, glue and napkin technique stick directly.
- Your decoration fits its spot exactly, whether on an Advent wreath or in a shop window. You can choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft in a relaxed way, even with children – because the laser-cut edges are smooth and need no sanding.
- You can supply whole craft groups, school classes or clubs without ordering several times. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.
- Every figure becomes your very own piece. The natural fibre structure makes each gingerbread woman look a little different.
Why this gingerbread woman makes a difference every day
Home-made Christmas decorations tell a story. Of a cosy afternoon, of children's hands holding a brush, of an idea that took shape. A ready-made figure can't do that. With the gingerbread woman as a blank, you decide whether she turns out colourful, classic or very simple. In the end, something hangs in the window or on the tree that exists only once.
Material & finish
The gingerbread woman is made of 3 mm HDF/MDF fibreboard. The densely compressed wood fibres make the figure sturdy and feel pleasantly smooth. She is laser-cut, so the edges are clean and even. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That makes it just right for painting and gluing. Wood fibres naturally vary in shade and can show small differences in texture. So every figure is a piece of its own. This is not a flaw but part of the material. Every gingerbread woman is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

- On the Christmas tree or in the window: place several figures in different sizes side by side. The room looks festively decorated.
- As a gift tag or name card: write a name on each one and put it at a place setting or on a parcel. Your guests find straight away what is meant for them.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: large figures up to 50 cm in the shop window or on the counter. A seasonal motif you can decorate anew year after year.
- For nurseries, schools and craft groups: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, the whole group is covered with one order.
Good to know about the gingerbread woman
Gingerbread figures have been part of German Christmas tradition for centuries. Ever since the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel, the gingerbread house and its figures have been closely linked with Advent. This HDF gingerbread woman takes up that familiar motif. But she lasts for many years. After the holidays, simply put her away and bring her out again next Advent.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the figures somewhere dry and keep them away from lasting moisture, as the fibreboard is untreated. That way your gingerbread woman keeps her shape and looks good for many Christmas seasons.
