Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Spring is on its way, and the windowsill could do with some colour. The brushes and paints are already out on the kitchen table. This MDF Easter egg set in untreated HDF gives you a blank shape to design yourself. Paint it, stick things on it, write on it – just as you like. That way you make Easter decorations that suit your home, because you design them yourself.
What changes for you
- You can start crafting straight away. The wood is untreated, so paint, glue or oil stick directly.
- There is no sanding needed before you start. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so every piece feels nice in your hand.
- Your Easter egg gets a frame effect all by itself. The set comes in two parts. You can decorate the frame and the inner cutout separately or together.
- You'll find the right size for the window, a branch or the table. The set comes in 7 cm or 10 cm total height.
- Crafting with children is easy too. The 3 mm pieces are light, easy to handle and easy to paint.
Why this Easter egg set makes a difference at home
Shop-bought decorations look the same everywhere. Ones you design yourself say something about you. With this Easter egg set, you can do a craft project together in the afternoon. By the evening, the result is already hanging on the Easter tree. At Easter, your home shows who decorated it. And every egg holds a small memory of the moment it was made.
Material & finish
The Easter eggs are laser-cut from 3 mm HDF in Bütic's own production in Pößneck. The laser cut gives smooth edges and the typical brown edge, which outlines each piece finely. HDF is a high-density fibreboard made from pressed wood fibres. As a natural material, it shows fibres in different shades and small irregularities. That makes every piece one of a kind – it is not a flaw. The wood is neither varnished nor glazed. So you can stick things on it, paint it, coat it or oil it straight away.

How to use the Easter egg set
- Crafting with children at the kitchen table: each child paints their own egg. Later, a colourful collection of little artworks hangs on the Easter tree.
- As spring window decoration: paint the frame and the inner piece in different colours. Passers-by will notice your lovingly decorated window.
- As a gift tag or for the Easter table: write a name on the egg and it becomes a place card. Guests are happy to take it home.
- In a café or at the bakery counter: several decorated eggs make seasonal decoration. They are quick to set up and easy for guests to see during the Easter weeks.
- For craft groups, nurseries or schools: you can order each design individually. So you can plan exactly the quantity you need.
Good to know about the Easter egg
For centuries, the egg has been a symbol of life and new beginnings. That is why decorating eggs is part of Easter tradition in many regions. With a wooden Easter egg, you carry on this tradition in a lasting form. It won't break, and you can take it out of the decorations box year after year.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the untreated pieces somewhere dry and avoid constant moisture. Then they will keep their shape for a long time. Once decorated, your Easter egg will be with you for many springs. Just pack it away dust-free after the season.
