The spring table is laid, and the first branches are in the vase. Between the napkins and Easter eggs, one lovely detail is still missing. That is exactly what the MDF wooden Easter bunny Hoppel is made for. It is a laser-cut wooden cutout. You can scatter it, hang it or paint it to suit your home. Choose a small 3 cm piece as table scatter or a large cutout of up to 50 cm. You can stand, lay or hang Hoppel on your table, your windowsill or your wall.

What changes for you

  • You make your Easter decorations in exactly the size you want. Hoppel can be ordered from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • Your craft afternoon starts right away, with no sawing or sanding. The laser-cut edges are smooth and have the typical brown rim.
  • You can get as creative as you like, on your own or crafting with children. The untreated HDF can be glued, painted, brushed with colour or oiled.
  • You always have enough shapes to hand for table decorations, window pictures or gift tags. Order them singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • You get clean, careful workmanship from Bütic's own production in Pößneck. Made in Thuringia, Germany.

Why this wooden Easter bunny makes a difference every day

Wooden Easter decorations look calmer and more natural than colourful plastic ones. They blend into your home instead of cluttering it. With Hoppel, a few simple steps are all it takes to finish your spring decorations. Scatter a few small bunnies across the table and hang a large one on your front door. And if you pick up a brush yourself, what you hang up is not just any decoration. It is your very own piece of Easter.

Material & finish

Hoppel is laser-cut from 3 mm HDF. This is a fibreboard made from pressed wood fibres. It keeps its shape and is easy to work with. The edges are smooth and show the brown rim typical of laser cutting, which gives the design a fine outline. The material is untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues and oils stick directly to the surface. As a natural material, the fibres show lighter and darker patterns and may have small irregularities. This makes every piece unique and is not a flaw. HDF is a wood fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays sturdy even when thin.

How to use the Easter bunny Hoppel

  • At Easter breakfast: Scatter small bunnies between the plates and eggs. The table looks festive before the first coffee is poured.
  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own Hoppel. In the end, a home-made window picture hangs proudly in the children's room.
  • As a gift tag: Tie a mini bunny with a name or message to your Easter present. The wrapping looks like more effort than it actually took.
  • As wall decoration: Hang a large bunny of up to 50 cm on the front door or hallway wall. It is big enough to put guests in an Easter mood as soon as they arrive.
  • In your business: Bakeries, cafés and market stalls can decorate counters and shop windows with matching shapes in graded sizes. With sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, it is quick to set up and neatly presented.

Facts about the Easter Bunny

The Easter bunny has been recorded as the bringer of eggs since the 17th century. This makes it one of the oldest figures of Easter tradition in German-speaking countries. Hardly any other shape is so naturally linked with the holiday. It is ideal if you want your decorations to create an Easter mood at once, without many words. That works at home and in shop displays alike.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do: simply wipe off dust with a dry cloth. As the HDF is untreated, you should protect Hoppel from wet and constant damp. That way the surface stays smooth and the decoration looks good for many Easters. If you paint or oil the bunnies, the surface gets extra protection.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or glue things onto the Easter bunny? Yes. The HDF is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues and oils stick directly to the surface.

Why do the edges have a brown rim? The bunnies are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown rim, which gives the shape a clean, fine outline.

Do all bunnies look exactly the same? The shape is identical, but the material is natural. The wood fibres vary in shade and may show small irregularities. Every piece is one of a kind.

How wide is the bunny? The width depends on the height you choose. At a height of 10 cm, it is 7.5 cm wide.

Where is the cutout made? In Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is made with clean, careful workmanship.

Picture the moment your family sits at the Easter table. They discover the bunnies you decorated yourself. Just choose your size and quantity. You design the rest.
