You have a craft project in mind. Maybe a mystical wall decoration, a painted star for your altar or a template for your next themed party. All you need is the right blank. That is exactly what this MDF pentagram is made for. It is a cleanly laser-cut wooden cutout in its natural finish. You can paint it, cover it or oil it however you like. Instead of sawing it out yourself, you go straight to the fun part: decorating.

What changes for you

  • You start crafting straight away instead of sawing and sanding. The pentagram arrives laser-cut and ready, with smooth edges.
  • You decorate it exactly to your taste. The MDF/HDF is untreated and reliably takes paint, oil, glue or paper.
  • You get exactly the size your project needs. Choose a width from 5 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can plan larger projects or group activities with ease. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.
  • You work with a reliable blank. It is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Why this MDF pentagram makes a difference

A good cutout decides whether a craft project is a joy or a test of patience. A cleanly made blank with an evenly shaped outline is easy to work on further. Use it as wall decoration, as part of a larger arrangement or as a painted gift. You choose the size freely. So the five-pointed star works for small hanging ornaments just as well as for large decorations.

Material & finish

The pentagram is made of 3 mm thick MDF or HDF. This high-density fibreboard keeps its shape and is easy to work with. The cutout is laser-cut. This gives the edges the typical brown rim. It is a feature of this cutting method and gives many projects a defined outline. The surface is untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. Paint and glue stick directly, without sanding. Wood fibres are a natural material. Individual fibres vary in shade and may show small irregularities. This makes every piece unique and is not a defect.

How to use the pentagram

  • Crafting at home: Paint it with acrylics or cover it with paper. In an hour, the blank becomes a wall decoration in exactly your style.
  • For mystically inspired projects: Decorated as a pentacle or witch's star, the five-pointed star becomes a focal point on your shelf, altar or windowsill.
  • For Halloween or themed parties: Combine several sizes to create a decoration wall. It draws your guests into the theme straight away.
  • In model making: The precise, shape-stable base saves you sawing. You can go straight on to the details.
  • For workshops, shops or craft groups: With sets from 10 pieces, every participant gets the same blank. Same starting point, quick preparation, consistent results.

Good to know about the pentagram

The five-pointed star is one of humanity's oldest symbols. It is known by many names: pentacle, pentalpha, pentangle or, in German folklore, Drudenfuss (witch's foot). In folk belief, the Drudenfuss was a protective sign against evil spirits. That is why the motif suits Halloween and Gothic decorations. It also works for symbolic gifts and mystically inspired craft projects.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the untreated cutout in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. This keeps the board stable. If you want to use the pentagram outdoors permanently or in a damp environment, seal the surface first with varnish or oil.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the pentagram? Yes. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. Acrylic paint, glue, oil or paper stick directly without any pre-treatment.

Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown laser edge. The edges themselves are smooth and cleanly cut.

How do width and height relate? Width and height are the same. For example, if you choose a width of 10 cm, the height is also 10 cm.

Why don't all boards look exactly the same? HDF is made of pressed wood fibres, a natural material. The fibres vary in shade and may show small irregularities. This makes every piece unique.

Where is the pentagram made? In our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Made in Germany.

A star-shaped fibreboard is only the starting point. What counts is the moment your finished pentagram hangs on the wall. It looks exactly as you imagined. Just choose your size and get started.
