The disc is made from 3 mm thick HDF and is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. The laser cut gives smooth, precise edges. It also leaves the typical brown edge. This is a hallmark of laser cutting. It stays visible on untreated HDF and works with many decorating ideas. The surface is untreated, not varnished and not glazed. You can glue things onto it, paint it or oil it, just as your project needs. HDF is a wood-based material, so it is a natural material. It may show slight differences in texture, and that makes each piece individual. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays stable even when thin.

Care & durability

There's not much to do. Store the untreated disc in a dry place and wipe it with a dry cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture. If you paint or oil the surface, you also make it more resistant. Your decoration will then look good for a long time.
