Good to know: HDF boards are made from compressed wood fibres and always show slight differences. Some fibres are lighter, some darker. Small irregularities can occur. This makes every cutout a one-off. It's not a defect, it's simply the nature of the material. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays stable even when thin.
