Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Your running group is celebrating the end of the season, and the medals for the club run are still missing. Or you're looking for a personal decoration for a runner who has just finished her first marathon. This is where the MDF sprinter runner 2 comes in. It's a laser-cut wooden silhouette in natural finish. You can paint it, stick things on it and decorate it, ready for your next craft idea. A plain blank becomes a trophy, a table decoration or a small gift that shows you care.
What changes for you
- You can start crafting straight away, without sanding first. The silhouette is laser-cut and has smooth edges.
- Your idea decides the size, not the other way round. You choose the height freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You decorate it just the way you like. The untreated HDF can be painted, coloured in or covered with paper and other materials.
- You can also kit out larger events with ease. Order singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, for example for everyone taking part in a club run.
- You give something personal instead of mass-produced goods. Every fibreboard has its own texture, so every piece is one of a kind.
Why this runner silhouette makes a difference in everyday life
A figure you've designed yourself says more than any shop-bought trophy. Whoever holds it after crossing the finish line can tell that someone put thought into it. On the table at the club party, on the winners' podium or as a keepsake on the fridge, the runner puts the theme of running on display. It's simple and takes little effort to decorate with.
Material & finish
The silhouette is made from 3 mm thick HDF/MDF fibreboard. Its highly compressed wood fibres make the cutout pleasantly sturdy despite its slim shape. Laser cutting gives clean, smooth edges that don't fray. The workmanship is careful throughout. The board is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. This means paints, glue and pens adhere well. Fibres in different shades and small irregularities are part of the material. They are typical of this natural material. Every runner is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the runner silhouette
- After the club run: glue the silhouette onto a base or a medal. Every participant then takes home a keepsake that is truly unique.
- Crafting with children: the little ones paint their own runner in their favourite colours. And they're proud when their work ends up on the shelf.
- For a marathon party: place a small figure at each setting as table decoration. The conversation about the race starts before the first course.
- As a money gift for sporting occasions: attach a folded banknote to the silhouette. An envelope becomes a thoughtful surprise.
- For clubs, running groups and organisers: with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you can kit out award ceremonies and goody bags in one go. The motif is the same, the design is individual.
- In model making: as a figure to the scale of your scene, the runner adds movement to dioramas and display pieces.
Good to know about the marathon
According to legend, the marathon goes back to a messenger who carried the news of victory from the Battle of Marathon to Athens in 490 BC. Today's distance of 42.195 kilometres was run at the 1908 Olympic Games in London. It later became the standard. Anyone who completes this distance deserves a keepsake. That's exactly what the runner motif is for: trophies, medals and congratulations at the finish line.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the untreated silhouette in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. This keeps the fibreboard stable and your design looking good for a long time. Sealing it with paint or varnish after painting gives the surface extra protection.
