Material & finish

The star is made from 3 mm thick HDF/MDF fibreboard. It is laser cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The result is smooth, clean edges that feel pleasant to the touch. You can work with them straight away, with no sanding needed. The board is untreated. It is neither varnished nor glazed. This makes it a neutral base for acrylic paint, napkin technique, decoupage or lettering. As a pressed natural material, the wood fibres show lighter and darker patterns and may have small irregularities. This makes every piece unique and is not a defect. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, just more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays sturdy even when thin.
