Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The Advent wreath is up and the candles are ready. Now you just need something to make yourself. This MDF Christmas tree with 2 holes is a blank that's ready to be painted, decorated or threaded. Maybe you're making Christmas decorations at the kitchen table. Maybe you need a whole batch of tags for an Advent calendar. Either way, this tree silhouette is made for your crafting afternoons. You choose the size, colour and style. The cutout gives you the clean shape.
What changes for you
- You can start decorating straight away instead of sawing and sanding yourself. The tree is laser-cut and has smooth edges.
- Hang it in your window, on a branch or on a gift. The two 3 mm holes take ribbon or cord.
- You design it just the way you like, from soft white to bold colours. That's because the HDF is untreated. You can paint it, stick things on it or oil it.
- It fits every project, from a small motif on a card to a large window decoration. You choose the height from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- When you craft with children or in a group, there is enough for everyone. Sets come with 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
Why this MDF Christmas tree makes a difference in everyday life
Decorations you make yourself tell a different story from bought ones. Every tree shows your hand, your colours and your idea. All cutouts have the same clean shape. So your finished tags line up evenly – in the window, on a branch or on the festive table. A crafting afternoon turns into decorations that truly belong in your home.
Material & finish
The Christmas tree is made from 3 mm HDF, a board of compressed wood fibres. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. This gives clean, smooth edges with no chipping or fraying. They feel pleasant to the touch. You also get an even surface for painting. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. That's why paint and glue stick well. Wood fibres are a natural material. So one board may be a little lighter and another a little darker. The texture can also show small irregularities. This makes every piece unique. It is not a flaw. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays sturdy even when thin.

How to use the Christmas tree
- Christmas crafts with children: each child paints their own tree. At the end, a little gallery hangs in the window, and everyone is proud of it.
- For the Advent calendar: number and thread 24 small trees. Your calendar will bring that feeling of anticipation year after year.
- On Christmas cards or gifts: glue on a small tree or tie it on with ribbon. Your parcel has its own design before it's even opened.
- A gift idea with something inside: when you make a money gift, a tree tag with writing on it makes it more personal. The recipient sees straight away that you've put thought into it.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: stand up or hang trees with writing on them as price tags or counter decorations. Your display looks festive and tidy in just a few minutes.
Good to know about the Christmas tree
For centuries, the evergreen fir has stood for constancy and hope. Decorated Christmas trees are recorded in Germany as far back as the early modern period. So the motif works beyond Advent, too, as a lasting keepsake. A tree with a name and year written on it soon becomes a tag that goes back on the branch every year.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Keep the cutouts dry and away from lasting moisture, because the HDF is untreated. If you paint or oil the surface, your decoration will keep looking good for a long time. You can then use it again year after year.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the Christmas tree or stick things on it? Yes. The HDF is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. You can paint it, stick things on it or oil it. Paint and glue stick well.
What are the two holes for? The two 3 mm holes are for threading and hanging, for example with ribbon, cord or wire.
Why don't all the cutouts look the same? HDF is made from compressed wood fibres, a natural material. Lightness and texture can vary slightly. This makes every piece unique.
Is the cutout suitable for outdoor use? The HDF is untreated and should be kept dry. For outdoor use, we recommend a protective coat of paint. It's best to avoid lasting moisture.
A wooden cutout is just the start. Then comes the afternoon when brushes and glue are out on the table. By evening, the first trees you've decorated are hanging in the window. Just choose your size and quantity. The rest is up to you.
