Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The club awards night is coming up and the table in the clubhouse is laid. But there is still no motif that shows what it is all about. That is exactly what this MDF tennis player is made for. It is a clear silhouette for crafting, painting and decorating, and you order it in the size you want. Use it as table decoration at a tournament, as a gift tag for the team or as a motif on the club noticeboard. The plain cutout quickly becomes your very own piece.
What changes for you
- You design the motif exactly the way you want it. The HDF is untreated, so you can stick things on it, paint it or coat it.
- Your decoration works at any scale, from a small tag to a large wall motif. You can choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- No tedious sawing and sanding. The silhouette is laser-cut and arrives with smooth edges.
- You can easily supply bigger projects too, such as a club party or a crafting afternoon. Sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces are available.
- Combine the motif with other cutouts, such as a tennis racket or ball, to create a complete scene.
Why this MDF cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Shop-bought decorations are everywhere. A motif you have designed yourself tells your own story. With the tennis player, you show at a glance what your club, your party or your gift is about. You decide the size and design yourself. So the result fits naturally into your space rather than looking out of place.
Material & finish
The silhouette is made from 3 mm thick HDF/MDF fibreboard. It is sturdy enough to stand up, hang and work with. At the same time, it is light enough for cards, tags and model making. Laser cutting gives clean, smooth edges, so you can start decorating straight away. The board is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. This means paint and glue stick reliably. As a pressed wood-fibre material, HDF always shows fibres of varying lightness and small irregularities. This is not a defect. It is what makes every piece unique. Every cutout is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays stable even when thin.

- Crafting with children: the little ones paint their own figure for Grandpa, who is out on the tennis court every Saturday. A gift that truly comes from the heart.
- In the clubhouse or at a tournament: combine several sizes with tennis racket and ball cutouts. The decoration instantly says ball sports.
- For money gifts and greetings cards: glue on the flat 3 mm silhouette. A plain envelope becomes a personal present for tennis fans.
- In model making, the clear outline adds a player figure to your scene. You don't have to saw anything yourself.
Good to know about the tennis motif
Tennis is traditionally known as "the white sport". This refers to the classic white tennis clothing, which is still compulsory at Wimbledon, for example. That is why the silhouette also works well left plain or painted white. Use it as table decoration for the end of the season or for a display in the clubhouse.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. Simply store the untreated cutout in a dry place and avoid constant moisture. Then the material keeps its shape. For outdoor use, we recommend a protective coat. The untreated surface takes it well.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the cutout or stick things on it? Yes. The HDF is untreated, so you can coat it, paint it and stick things on it. Paint adheres well to the raw surface.
Are the edges smooth, or do I need to sand them? The silhouette is laser-cut and has smooth edges. You can start decorating straight away.
Why do the boards look different? HDF is made of pressed wood fibres. These can vary in shade and show small irregularities. This is typical of the material and makes every piece one of a kind.
Is the motif suitable for larger quantities, for example a club party? Yes. As well as single pieces, there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces in the size you want.
A fibreboard is just the starting point. Picture your guests in the clubhouse stopping to look at the little figures. They ask where you got them. And you can say: I made them myself. Just choose your size and quantity and get started.
