Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Maybe a shelf in your hallway could do with a seaside touch. Maybe a windowsill should remind you of your last holiday on the Baltic coast. Or maybe your craft afternoon still needs the right motif. This HDF seagull brings the sea into your home. The laser-cut silhouette is untreated and ready for you to paint, cover or decorate. It's made for your next craft idea.
What changes for you
- You can design the motif just the way you like. The HDF is left natural, so you can paint it, cover it or decorate it.
- You get exactly the size that suits your project – thanks to a freely selectable height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can work comfortably without any finishing. The laser cut leaves smooth edges that don't splinter.
- Larger projects are easy to kit out too. Choose sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, for example for crafting with children or a shop window display.
Why this MDF seagull makes a difference every day
A single seaside motif often changes the mood of a whole room. The seagull on the windowsill, on the bathroom mirror or in your holiday collage brings a bit of the coast into your home. And because you design the silhouette yourself, what hangs on the wall isn't just any decoration. It's your own piece, with a little story behind it.
Material & finish
The seagull is laser-cut from 3 mm HDF/MDF fibreboard. It's made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves a smooth edge and a clean finish. You can start straight away without sanding. The material is untreated, so it has no varnish or glaze. Paint and glue stick well, and you decide on the surface yourself. HDF is made from pressed wood fibres. So the boards always show slightly different textures. Some fibres are lighter, some darker, and there may be the odd small mark. This makes every piece one of a kind. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays sturdy even when thin.

How to use the MDF seagull
- Crafting with children: every child paints their own seagull. In the end, a whole colourful flock flies across the bedroom wall.
- After a seaside holiday: combine the seagull with shells and photos to create a memory corner. Your beach day will be with you again every morning.
- In model making: in a small size, the seabird completes your harbour or lighthouse scene.
- In a café, fishmonger's or at a market stall: several seagulls from a set decorate the shop window or counter. A seaside theme is set up quickly and looks consistent straight away.
- As a gift tag or table decoration: a small seagull on a parcel or at every place setting. The coastal theme runs through the whole evening.
Good to know about the seagull
Hardly any motif stands for the sea, harbours and wanderlust as much as the seagull. It simply belongs in every coastal scene. That's why the silhouette fits wherever you want a seaside mood: beach and holiday themes, bathroom decoration or coastal-themed parties.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. If needed, simply dust it with a dry cloth. The fibreboard is untreated, so it's best to keep it away from wet and constant damp. That way your seagull keeps its shape and looks good for a long time.
