- Your decoration fits exactly where you want it, from small table scatter to a large window picture. You choose the width freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can design the cap just as you like. The untreated, smooth surface takes glue, paint and varnish.
- Your afternoon of carnival crafts with children stays relaxed. The sturdy solid board copes with unpractised brushstrokes and doesn't warp easily.
- You can decorate with a clear conscience, as the board is made from 100 % recycled material.
Why this cardboard jester's cap makes a difference
Shop-bought carnival decorations often look garish and generic. A cardboard cutout you design yourself tells the story of your club, your family or your party. In the window, as bunting over the counter or as table decoration at the gala: the clear jester's cap shape adapts to any spot with little effort. And because you decide how it looks, your carnival decorations suit you exactly.
Material & finish
The jester's cap is made from 1.2 mm bookbinding board. This is a sturdy solid board with 755 g/m². It feels solid in your hand and keeps its shape even as a larger window picture. The smooth surface takes paint, glue and varnish well. The brown edges come from precise laser cutting and give every cutout its clean, typical edge. Every cap is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The board is made from 100 % recycled material.

How to use the jester's cap
- Carnival crafts with children: each child paints their own cap. Then a colourful garland hangs in the children's room, and everyone is proud of it.
- At nursery before carnival: spread several sizes across the craft table. Each group designs its own window decorations for the group room.
- At the carnival club: paint the cutouts in your club colours. At the gala evening, table and hall decorations then tie the whole evening together.
- In the window at home: a few caps in different sizes as a window picture. Now carnival season greets everyone who walks past.
- In a café or bakery: small caps on the counter or in the display get your customers in the carnival mood. They are quick to set up, with no big rearranging.
Good to know about the jester's cap
Since the 19th century, the jester's cap has been the symbol of organised carnival clubs. This is especially true in the Rhineland carnival, where the Council of Eleven and the club presidents still wear it today. Because of its jagged shape, the silhouette is also called a cockscomb. That is why the motif works so well for club decorations, gala evenings and everything that belongs to carnival season.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Keep the untreated board dry and away from lasting damp. Then you can take your painted caps out of the box year after year.
