The window is clean. It's slowly getting warmer outside. All that's missing is a fresh splash of colour to bring spring indoors. The orange wooden dragonfly brings exactly that lightness: a delicate motif in a bold colour, made for your spring window. Hang it on its own from a ribbon or as a whole swarm in a shop window. The orange dragonfly can be hung up and combined anywhere.

What changes for you

  • Your window, your table or your branch in a vase looks like spring straight away – because the bold orange stain glows even from a distance.
  • You can match the size exactly to your idea – with wingspans from 3 cm to 50 cm, selectable in 1 cm steps.
  • You can start crafting and painting with no preparation – the natural back takes paint, pens and glue straight away.
  • You can use it to decorate a child's room too – the stain meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • You can decorate larger areas quickly too – with sets of 10 to 100 pieces, for example for shop windows or shop fittings.

Why this wooden dragonfly makes a difference every day

Decorations don't have to be elaborate to work. A single dragonfly in the window brings movement and a summer feeling into the room. A whole swarm fills a plain wall or a shop window with the motif. Because it's made of real wood, it never looks artificial. It looks like what it is: natural wood.

Material & finish

Every dragonfly is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. That's where the smooth, precise edges come from. They have the typical brown rim that gives the motif a fine outline. The orange stain on the front has good coverage. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots still show through. That's what makes every piece unique. The back is left natural and untreated, so you can paint it or stick things on it however you like. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade and fine structures in the grain are not a flaw. They are part of the material's character.

How to use the dragonfly

  • In the window in spring: hang a few dragonflies in different sizes on thread – and summer dances in front of your window long before it arrives outside.
  • At afternoon coffee and cake: a small dragonfly at each place or on the napkin – your guests spot the detail before the cake is cut.
  • Crafting with children: paint the back, stick on glitter, and the artwork is done – nice and relaxed, as the stain meets DIN EN 71-3.
  • In a shop or café: with a set of 25, 50 or 100 pieces you can decorate the shop window and counter in one go. One motif, quick set-up, a consistent look.
  • As gift decoration: tie a dragonfly to the parcel with ribbon – and a plain present becomes a lovingly wrapped greeting.

Good to know about the dragonfly

The dragonfly has long been seen as a messenger of summer. It stands for lightness and change. That's why it suits spring and summer decorations so well – in the window, on the table or as a delicate addition to invitations for garden parties and christenings.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough to keep the colour bright for a long time. As the back is untreated, the dragonfly lasts best indoors or in sheltered spots. Avoid constant damp and wet.

Frequently asked questions

Is the glaze safe to use? Yes, it meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3. It is also suitable for crafting with children.

Is the dragonfly stained on both sides? No, only the front has the orange stain. The back is left natural and untreated – ideal for painting or sticking things on.

Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? The dragonfly is laser-cut. The fine brown rim is typical of this process. It also gives you smooth, precise edges.

Does every dragonfly look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't. Grain, shade and small knots vary from piece to piece – each one is unique.

A piece of plywood can become a moment. You look at your window, and a small orange swarm brings spring towards you. Just choose your size and quantity – the dragonfly does the rest.
