Material & finish

The ovals are made of 3 mm plywood. They are laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. That's where the smooth edges come from, along with the typical brown rim that frames each piece. The wood is untreated, not varnished or stained. This means it takes paint, oil and pens well. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain and sometimes has small knots. That makes every piece one of a kind – it's not a flaw.
