Why this cardboard dirndl makes a difference day to day
A ready-made dirndl silhouette takes care of the most time-consuming part for you: the cutting out. You no longer need to trace a dirndl craft template. Instead, you can go straight to the fun part – choosing colours, painting patterns, decorating. In a short time you have decorations that match and still look handmade.
Material & finish
The solid board in bookbinding quality feels firm and sturdy in your hand. It is not thin card that warps or creases when you paint it. The surface is smooth, so paint and glue stick well. The brown edges come from the precise laser cut and give each piece a clean finish. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

- Crafting with children: every child paints their own dirndl. At the end you have a colourful garland everyone is proud of.
- For an Oktoberfest or birthday party: place a dirndl with a name on it at each seat as a place card. Your guests find their seat and also get a little keepsake to take home.
- For weddings, engagements or Valentine's Day: as a tag on a present or a bottle, it turns plain packaging into a personal gesture.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: write prices or offers on it. During Oktoberfest season, the dirndl silhouette brings a Bavarian feel to your counter and shop window. It is quick to hang up and quick to take down again.
Good to know about the dirndl
The dirndl was originally the work clothing of rural maids in the 19th century. Only later did it become festive traditional dress. The name comes from the Bavarian word “Dirn”, meaning girl. Today, hardly any other motif stands for Oktoberfest, folk festivals and Bavarian cosiness like this silhouette. The cutout brings exactly this mood to your decorations.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. Store the untreated board in a dry place and protect it from lasting moisture. Then it keeps its shape and firmness. This way you can hang up your finished motifs again and again for years.
