Why this cardboard angel makes a difference in everyday life
Shop-bought decorations often look the same everywhere. An angel you've designed yourself tells something about you. Whether together with the kids at the kitchen table or quietly in the evening: piece by piece, the plain cutout becomes something you're happy to display, give away or bring out again every year. Crafting with children becomes a shared ritual. And during Advent, your windowsill fills up with angels you've made yourself.
Material & finish
The 1.2 mm bookbinding board weighs 755 g/m². It is much firmer than ordinary craft card. Your angel keeps its shape, even if you paint large areas or cover it with glued-on materials. The smooth, untreated surface takes paint and glue well. The brown edges come from the precise laser cut and give each piece a natural brown rim. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, from 100% recycled material.

How to use the cardboard angel
- Christmas crafts with children: each child decorates their own angel with paint, glitter or paper. At the end, they proudly take it home.
- On the windowsill or the Advent wreath: arrange a few angels in different sizes. Your home shows a consistent look at Christmas time.
- As gift tags: write a name on a small angel and attach it to the wrapping. On Christmas Eve, everyone knows which parcel is theirs.
- For money gifts and Christmas cards: stick on a painted angel or use it to hold a banknote. Your card becomes a little keepsake.
- For weddings, christenings, engagements or birthdays: decorated in the colours of the celebration, the angel becomes a table decoration or a favour designed by you.
- In shops, cafés or at the Christmas market: large angels up to 50 cm in the shop window or on the counter quickly create a coherent seasonal display. With the sets, you can decorate several areas in one go.
Good to know about angels
Angels have always been seen as messengers. In the Christmas story, they announce the birth of Jesus to the shepherds. That's why the angel motif is still firmly part of Advent today. As a symbol of protection and good luck, it also suits christenings, First Communions and weddings.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the angel in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. Untreated board doesn't like water. When painting, it's best to apply paint in thin layers so the material doesn't warp. That way your decoration stays looking good for many years. You can bring it out again every Advent.
