Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Advent is just around the corner, and the children can't wait to make a bell. You're looking for a blank that can take more than thin paper. This cardboard bell with a hole is made for your craft table. It's a sturdy cutout made of 1.2 mm bookbinding board. You can paint it, stick things on it or varnish it. That's how a plain blank becomes your very own Christmas decoration for the window, the door or the tree.
What changes for you
- Crafting is more relaxed, because the solid board doesn't warp or crease when you paint it or glue things on. A paper bell can't do that.
- Your finished bell is ready to hang as soon as you've threaded ribbon or string through. The hole is already cut in.
- You'll find the right size for every idea. The height can be chosen from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. That covers everything from a small tree ornament to a large window decoration.
- You're free to design it as you like. The smooth, untreated surface reliably takes paint, glue, glitter and varnish.
- You can decorate with a clear conscience, as the board is made from 100 % recycled material.
Why this cardboard bell makes a difference day to day
Maybe it's a cosy crafting afternoon in Advent. Maybe you're getting ready for a wedding. Either way, a blank that holds its shape gets you to the result you have in mind faster. You don't have to cut out templates and hope the shape works. You go straight to the fun part: decorating. And in the end, your window isn't home to just any scrap of paper. It's a bell that keeps its shape all season long.
Material & finish
The bell is made of solid bookbinding-quality board. It is 1.2 mm thick and weighs 755 g/m². That makes it pleasant to hold, and it stays sturdy even in larger sizes. The cutout is laser-cut. This explains the typical brown edges and gives clean, precise outlines. The surface is smooth and untreated, so you can glue, paint or varnish it straight away. Every bell is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the cardboard bell
- In Advent: Paint the bell together with the children and decorate it with glitter. Your home-made Christmas bell is then ready for the window or the Christmas tree.
- For a wedding or engagement: Thread several bells onto a ribbon to make a garland. It gives the entrance or the photo wall a festive frame.
- For a birthday or Valentine's Day: Write a name on the bell and it becomes a gift tag. It will remind people of the celebration for a long time.
- In a shop or café: Large bells, 40 or 50 cm high, decorate your shop window for Advent. Thanks to the hole, they're quick to hang up and just as quick to take down.
- In nursery, school or craft group: With the sets, every child gets their own blank. You save yourself the drawing and cutting out.
Good to know about bells
For centuries, bells have stood for good news. They ring in Christmas, accompany weddings and announce celebrations. It's no coincidence that a well-known German carol is called “Süßer die Glocken nie klingen” ("Bells never sound sweeter"). That's exactly why the motif suits Advent decorations, wedding garlands and every occasion with something lovely to celebrate.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the bell somewhere dry and protect it from moisture. The untreated board then keeps its shape, and you can hang up your decoration year after year.
