The craft afternoon is about to start. The party decorations need finishing. Or your chicken van still needs the right sign. This cardboard roast chicken is made for exactly that. The broiler silhouette in 1.2 mm bookbinding board arrives as a finished cutout. It is ready for you to paint, decorate or simply hang up as it is. That way your idea quickly becomes decoration you can see – for Oktoberfest, a children's birthday party or the snack bar counter.

What changes for you

  • You can start right away instead of cutting out by hand. The roast chicken is already cleanly laser-cut along its outline.
  • Your paints, pens and glue hold well. That's thanks to the smooth, untreated surface of the solid board.
  • You will find the right size for every idea, from a small tag to a large wall motif. You choose the width freely from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • Your decoration keeps its shape, even when little hands help out. The sturdy 755 g/m² bookbinding board is much stronger than ordinary craft card.
  • You can decorate with a clear conscience – as the board is made from 100% recycled material.

Why this cardboard roast chicken makes a difference in everyday use

A finished cutout takes care of the hardest part for you: cutting a clean outline that really looks like a roast chicken. You can focus on the design. That goes for crafting with children as well as decorating for a party or a counter. All cutouts share the same clear shape. So you recognise the silhouette as a roast chicken at any size – whether you put up two or twenty.

Material & finish

The silhouette is made from solid board in bookbinding quality. This material is valued for its strength and is still easy to work with. The surface is smooth and untreated. You can glue things onto it, paint it, coat it or varnish it. The brown laser-cut edges give the motif a clean, clear outline. Every roast chicken is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the roast chicken

  • Crafting with children: each child paints their own chicken. In the end, a colourful chicken parade hangs in the children's room.
  • For Oktoberfest or a themed party: hang it on a garland or place it on the table as a "Wiesnhendl". Your guests will be in party mood as soon as they walk in.
  • At the chicken van or snack bar: write on it and use it as a blank price sign. Your customers see at a glance what is on offer, and the motif sticks in their minds.
  • As a wall motif in your shop or market stall: in the large version up to 50 cm wide, the cutout shows the roast chicken silhouette at a glance. It announces what you sell from a distance.
  • For birthdays, weddings or parties: use small ones with writing as place cards or as tags for money gifts. A decoration that is sure to raise a smile.

Good to know about the Broiler

"Broiler" was the usual word for roast chicken in the GDR. In many regions it is still in everyday use today. Elsewhere people say Grillhendl, Backhendl or Wiesnhendl. That is exactly why the motif works so well. It brings back memories for many people. It suits nostalgic decorations just as well as a modern snack bar counter.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Store the board in a dry place and keep it away from lasting moisture. Then it keeps its shape and strength for a long time. Once you have designed it, you can reuse your decoration for many occasions.
